Experience

Made in 10 Weeks as a First Semester Project at the School 4 Games, "Psybot" is a Retro 2D Platformer in which you control a Robot who has gained Psychic abilities that allow it to pick up and throw enemies. The Player must navigate through Single-Screen levels to make it out of the ruins of an underground temple while defeating enemies and solving puzzles using Psybot's ability.

Roles and Responsibilities

Game Design:

  • Designed 4 Enemy Types with unique interactions
  • Established the foundational Structure and Mechanics of the game

Level Design:

  • Created 26 single-screen Levels separated into 4 distinct Areas
  • Designed and Implemented various Hazards and Platforming mechanics

Narrative Design:

  • Created the Narrative concept and Worldbuilding
  • Implemented a Dialogue System and wrote Dialogue
  • Worked closely with Environmental and Character Artists
Threadborne

Made as my Second Semester Project at the School 4 Games "Threadborne" is a 2.5D fusion of Deckbuilder and Survivorlike games where you fend back hordes of enemies by playing Cards that cast Spells, Attacks or Summon Creatures with each Level Up letting you add more cards to your Deck to build up devastating combos.

Roles and Responsibilities

Game Design:

  • Designed multiple Passive and Active Cards
  • Designed each enemy Type

Level Design:

  • Created the Level and added Floor Textures using Polybrush
  • Designed and Implemented various Hazards and Platforming mechanics
  • Added all Level Lighting

Tech Art:

  • Implemented and attuned most VFX and UI

Carnival Chaos is a 2.5D Shooting Gallery game where you rack up scores at Carnival stands for Prizes and your name on the leaderboard. Carnival Chaos was my 3rd Semester Project at the School 4 Games.
